Mac Mail (OSX)
These instructions were written for OSX 10.5 but will likely work for most recent versions.
- Open Mail on your Mac
- Select "Mail" then "Add Account" from the top menu
- Select the "Other Mail Account" radio button and press continue
- Fill out the following details and press the "Sign In" button:
Name: ###NAME###
Email: ###USERNAME###
Password: ###PASSWORD### -
You'll be given the message "unable to verify account name or password" and you can then add some additional information. Fill out the following before clicking the "Sign In" button again:
Username: ###USERNAME###
Password: ###PASSWORD###
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: hosting.opendoorinternet.co.uk
Outgoing Mail Server: hosting.opendoorinternet.co.uk - On the following screen ensure there is a tick next to "Mail" but untick the box next to "Notes" if it's selected.
- Click the "Done" button
- You're all set and ready to send emails from Mail in OSX!
