IMAP or POP

By default we always recommend using IMAP for email accounts (however because there are still some rare instances where clients prefer to use POP emails we have left that option available if you would prefer to use it).

Why do we recommend using IMAP?

Using IMAP email accounts means that your emails are stored on our server not just on your desktop. 

This means that you can access your inbox and folders from multiple devices and multiple locations.

It also means that reading or deleting your emails from - for example - your phone will mark them as read or deleted from your Tablet or Smartphone.
