Changing navigation menu

The navigation menu is the bar that normally goes along the top of your website. It helps users find their way around the website.

  1. Click the pagesbutton on the left hand menu of the admin area.
  2. Next, click the view all pagesbutton.
  3. This page shows you all pages on your website.
  4. The navigation menu includes the pages that are furthest left of the page hierarchy. These are known as 'top-level pages'. If any pages are indented right, that means they're a sub-page of the page above.
  5. You can re-order any of the pages by dragging and dropping them to the desired place.
  6. That's it!

Helpful hint: if you specifically don't want a top-level page to show in the main navigation, click in to the page and go to advanced options. There is a tick-box at the bottom of the page under 'indexing options' called 'Tick this box to hide this item from the main site navigation'... tick that one!
